Dr. Nora Stephenson with Maria Christina Tongco, after successful life-saving heart surgery in Toronto

In the past, L.I.F.E. For Health, in partnership with The Home Reach Foundation, organized volunteer medical missions to rural Bohol.  One mission included about 50 volunteer doctors and nurses, treating around 8000 patients.

L.I.F.E. For Health has also provided post-operative medications for impoverished men and women requiring emergency surgeries at Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital in Iligan City, Mindanao.

In partnership with The Rotary Club’s Gift of Life program and the Herbie Fund, L.I.F.E. For Health helped bring babies and young children with congenital heart defects from the Philippines to Canada for life-saving heart surgeries otherwise unaccessible to them.

Moving forward, we are seeking more sustainable access to health projects, such as a mobile health clinic staffed by local medical staff to service remote areas with limited health care.
